Developer Onboarding & Compliance
To integrate with Zanga Live, all developers and platforms must undergo a verification process to ensure compliance with Zambian regulatory standards (BoZ, FIC).
1. Required Documentation
Before moving from Sandbox to Live, you must submit the following for review:
For Individual Developers / Sole Traders
- NRC: Valid Zambian National Registration Card.
- Proof of Address: Utility bill or bank statement within the last 3 months.
- Mobile Wallet Verification: Proof of ownership for the Airtel or MTN wallet used for settlements.
For Registered Businesses
- PACRA Business Registration: Certificate of Incorporation or Registration.
- Tax Clearance: Valid ZRA tax clearance certificate.
- Director NRCs: Identification for all primary directors.
- Operational Address: Proof of business premises.
2. Platform Compliance
Your application must implement:
- KYC Procedure: You must identify your sub-users if you are facilitating third-party payments.
- Risk Management: Logic to flag unusual patterns (e.g., rapid refund cycles).
- Data Protection: Encryption of sensitive user info as per the Zambia Data Protection Act.
3. The Approval Process
- Sandbox Phase: Develop and test your integration using Mock wallets.
- Review Submission: Submit your compliance documents via the Zanga Developer Portal.
- Verification: Our compliance team reviews your documents (typically 3-5 business days).
- Live Activation: Once approved, your production API keys are activated.
