Developer Onboarding & Compliance

To integrate with Zanga Live, all developers and platforms must undergo a verification process to ensure compliance with Zambian regulatory standards (BoZ, FIC).

1. Required Documentation

Before moving from Sandbox to Live, you must submit the following for review:

For Individual Developers / Sole Traders

  • NRC: Valid Zambian National Registration Card.
  • Proof of Address: Utility bill or bank statement within the last 3 months.
  • Mobile Wallet Verification: Proof of ownership for the Airtel or MTN wallet used for settlements.

For Registered Businesses

  • PACRA Business Registration: Certificate of Incorporation or Registration.
  • Tax Clearance: Valid ZRA tax clearance certificate.
  • Director NRCs: Identification for all primary directors.
  • Operational Address: Proof of business premises.

2. Platform Compliance

Your application must implement:

  • KYC Procedure: You must identify your sub-users if you are facilitating third-party payments.
  • Risk Management: Logic to flag unusual patterns (e.g., rapid refund cycles).
  • Data Protection: Encryption of sensitive user info as per the Zambia Data Protection Act.

3. The Approval Process

  1. Sandbox Phase: Develop and test your integration using Mock wallets.
  2. Review Submission: Submit your compliance documents via the Zanga Developer Portal.
  3. Verification: Our compliance team reviews your documents (typically 3-5 business days).
  4. Live Activation: Once approved, your production API keys are activated.

[!IMPORTANT] Failure to maintain accurate KYC data or failure to report suspicious activity to Zanga may lead to platform suspension.
