1. Regulatory framework

Zanga operates as a Marketplace Facilitator and Payment Aggregator. Our operations are guided by the regulations of the Bank of Zambia (BoZ), the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), and ZICTA.

2. AML and KYC compliance

All users and providers must undergo verification in accordance with our AML Policy. We reserve the right to flag and freeze accounts demonstrating suspicious activity, including:

  • Large unusual withdrawals.
  • Rapid cycles of deposits and refunds.
  • Multiple accounts associated with the same NRC.

3. Fundraising and village banking

For social fundraising (Stokvels/Chamas/Campaigns), Zanga acts only as a facilitator. Funds belong to the campaign owner or group members. Zanga maintains compliance with BoZ guidelines regarding the holding of third-party funds.

4. Tax responsibility

Zanga's revenue is taxable income under ZRA regulations. Providers using our platform are responsible for their own tax filings unless withholding is legally mandated.

5. Refunds and disputes

Transactions are subject to our Refund & Dispute Policy. Settlement of disputed funds is held in escrow until resolution by the parties or relevant authorities.

6. Prohibited activities

Zanga may not be used for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal financial activities. Violations result in instant suspension and reporting to the FIC.

Contract posture: platform operators are responsible for the accuracy of the product logic, references, and business rules they submit into Zanga. Zanga is responsible for the integrity of the payment-control layer it exposes.
